Annagassan Viking 10k Run
Following the success of previous years, the 2014 Viking Coastal 10k promises to be bigger and better with great prizes. The race is dedicated to the memory of the Olympic runner and Annagassan native, Noel Carroll.  He was one of Ireland’s finest athletes and founder of the Dublin City Marathon. The race is supported by St. Peter's A.C., Dromiskin, which is the club where Noel Carroll begun his running career.

The race starts at 11:00am on August 9th, 1km from our beautiful fishing village at Dillonstown Church.  It then runs through the village along the sea front into the rural Salterstown countryside.  The course turns back along the coast within feet of the water’s edge with the stunning backdrop of the Mourne and Cooley Mountains. A long flat straight brings you to the finish located in the village centre. The race is CHIPPED, the course accurately measured and has AAI approval.

There will be music at the start and finish lines plus complimentary tea, coffee and cake for runners in the Marquee behind Slan's Bar at the finish line.  Participants will also receive a useful and worthwhile souvenir.

Places may be booked via the Precision Timing
website.  RUNNERS CAN ALSO REGISTER ON THE MORNING OF THE RACE.
